        Prices go up almost as soon as I leave the website to check dates or compare and then go back. What’s going on?

          A lot of travel websites use cookies to track users and once you have seemed interested, leave and go back, they will hike the price, partly to panic you into sealing the deal. The answer is to clear your search history in your browser which should mean you will be on a clean slate.
